Hanoi in Asia\'s 10 greatest street food cities

Hanoi has been listed as one of the ten greatest street food cities in Asia by CNN. Pho Cable news network CNN described the capital city and its environs as the birthplace of many quintessential Vietnamese dishes, such as pho and bun cha, and the city is often cited as one of the world's great food capitals. Pho "It is also a street-eater's paradise, with a plethora of options for those who want to eat like a local. In fact, many swear that the best food in Hanoi is found on the sidewalk, with dishes that often feature fish sauce, lemongrass, chilies, and cilantro and other fresh herbs," according to CNN. The city, which celebrated its 1,000th birthday last year, has put those centuries to good use perfecting its curbside nibbles. Although vendors often cook in small shop fronts, they serve their wares on the sidewalk, on small plastic tables and chairs that can seem woefully inadequate for overgrown foreigners. CNN features the ten dishes including bun rieu cua (soft noodles with freshwater crab sauce), barbecue chicken, sticky rice and nem cua be (crab spring roll). HCM City was previously listed in the world's top 10 best street food destinations. The list was created by Food and Wine magazine, a monthly publication of American Express Publishing. HCM City's most famous street foods include pho (rice noodles), banh my kep pate (sandwich with pate), and banh xeo (sizzling cake or fried pancakes made of rice flour, turmeric powder, and slivers of fatty pork and shrimp). Move more – when you're trying weight loss for swimsuit wearing, getting out and moving a bit more in your daily routine is an excellent way to lose weight. If you're clever about it you don't even have to go too far out of your daily routine to get moving more – just get off the bus a stop earlier, or take the stairs instead of the lift. Do push-ups – push-ups are better than you realise for toning up for summer as they exercise 6 muscles all at once – biceps, triceps, deltoids, pectorals, abs and gluteals. You'll basically tone the whole upper half of your body ready for your swimsuit! If you can't do full push-ups then start by doing them on your knees rather than feet and then progress. Be careful with salads – summer makes us want salads over chips; they're refreshing and light and make a perfect end to a day on the beach. It's good to eat salads, but for summer weight loss, make sure you choose one without dressing, croutons or fatty meats (such as bacon). In restaurants you can ask for salad without dressing. Remember, if the dish really does require salt then it will already have been included in cooking it. yen sao hitech review hue tourism vietnam how to weight loss cute girl dac san xu hue how to solve rubik how to tie a tie ky nang ban hang ngu phap tieng anh de thi dai hoc luan van ngan hang luan van thac sy bao cao thuc tap Quan tri kinh doanh Anh van giao tiep Boost your fibre intake – increasing your fibre intake is an excellent way to reduce your appetite and lose weight for summer. Drink less alcohol – alcohol contains a large amount of calories, yet we rarely think about it. A pint of beer can contain 300 calories, and there are at least 100 in a glass of wine. Even if you have one glass of wine less every time you go out the calories saved will soon add up and you'll be well on your way to losing weight for summer!

Ha Long Bay officially recognised as new world natural wonder

The New7Wonders organisation has officially recognized Vietnam's Ha Long Bay as a new world natural wonder, announced a senior official from the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. This organization's chairman will come to Hanoi to present the title and the world natural wonder icon to Ha Long bay this weekend. The icon will be placed in Hanoi and Quang Ninh. "I'm not surprised when the Ha Long Bay officially became a new world natural wonder, because this site was always at the top in qualifier rounds in the last four years," Mr. Tinh said. The 4-year vote for the new seven natural wonders of the world, held by the New7Wonders, closed at 2am, November 12, 2011, (Vietnam time). Dare to Stay On Top in Your 40s

Okay, so you've hit 40 and things can start to get quite tough. Your body might start to throw in a few aches and pains here and there, but you should treat these as motivation. Each ache is a sign that your body is getting a bit older so you should feel more compelled to keep fit and keep those pains to a minimum. If you've kept fit during your 30s and managed to hit your 40th birthday at a weight that you're fairly happy with then you deserve our congratulations; not many people achieve this. You should be in good shape and can keep exercising and eating the right combinations of food. Diet In your 40s you really need to start thinking about getting more good foodstuffs in your diet than ever before. These things will have a massive impact on your longevity and on your weight. Hopefully you've been getting at least 5 servings of fruit or vegetables a day. These are packed full of great nutrients (especially antioxidants) that will help your body keep going, reduce those aches and pains, and make sure all your vital areas are kept in tip-top condition to power you through your 40s. You should now look to increase your servings of fruit and vegetables to between 7 and 9 a day. More if you can manage it. Not only will they help you keep slim and look after your body, they will also help you feel excellent about yourself. Relaxation and Sleeping In your 40s you will probably have a huge number of pressures in your life, coming from all sorts of places. It's therefore important for your health that you learn to switch off, relax, and get some proper sleep. Try and take 30 minutes a day to do something you find truly relaxing, whether this is just lying on your bed thinking, or sitting in an armchair with your favourite television program. It's perfect if you can do this before bed as then you'll be able to completely shut down and have a good night's sleep. There are plenty of studies that show that a lack of sleep contributes to weight gain, most likely because it leads you to eat foods that give short bursts of energy (which are generally bad for you) to keep you awake. Getting in this critical 30 minutes of relaxation time will help you sleep much better and therefore aid your weight loss. Exercise If you are fit and healthy then now is your chance to go ahead and do a big physical challenge. This will (hopefully!) earn you respect from your friends and family, as well as give you a goal to keep working towards. A good example of this is to state that you're going to walk up the tallest mountain in the country next year. yen sao hitech review hue tourism vietnam how to weight loss cute girl dac san xu hue how to solve rubik how to tie a tie ky nang ban hang tieu luan triet de thi dai hoc luan van ngan hang kinh doanh quoc te luan van thac sy luận văn thạc sỹ

NVIDIA Tegra 4 likely to get Kepler graphics

The very successful Kepler launch last week has prompted NVIDIA's CEO to congratulate in a letter the company's employees for their efforts. While this may seem completely normal, the letter contained a hint that soon the Kepler architecture will be seen in other mobile markets, namely smartphones, tablets etc. We all know that Kepler is a very energy efficient architecture and by cutting some of the computational cores NVIDIA will easily get a powerful graphics core but with extremely low energy needs. In addition the humble 3D graphics capabilities of Tegra 2 and Tegra 3, which are as fast as NVIDIA NV4x GPUs released about 8 years ago make it clear that NVIDIA does need something new and fast in order to increase Tegra's power so that the chip can battle its competitors more successfully. yen sao hitech review hue tourism vietnam how to weight loss cute girl dac san xu hue how to solve rubik how to tie a tie ky nang ban hang tieu luan triet de thi dai hoc luan van ngan hang kinh doanh quoc te luan van thac sy luận văn thạc sỹ

Thirteen dead in new Honduras prison fire

At least 13 people were killed Thursday in a Honduras prison fire, officials said, less than two months after a deadly prison blaze killed more than 350. Inmates remain on the roof of a prison as others try to put out a fire at the facility in San Pedro Sula, in the north of Honduras. "There are 13 bodies. We have not yet been able to identify the circumstances of the incident" at the San Pedro Sula prison in the north of the country, said Marleny Vanegas of the city prosecutor's office. "We will have to await the results of the investigation." According to initial reports by the authorities, the detainees themselves put out the fire with buckets of water. Earlier, police spokesman Walter Amaya had put the death toll at one. Officials said the fire was rapidly brought under control. "We have regained control of the prison," Amaya said. Amaya said rival groups of detainees seemed to have cause the fire, but cautioned he was awaiting the results of the investigation for further details. Security Minister Pompeyo Bonilla said the fire at the facility -- which was built for 800 inmates but currently has 2,250 -- had "once again highlighted the critical situation" in the country's prisons. A horrific fire erupted on February 14 at a prison in Comayagua, some 90 kilometers (55 miles) north of the capital Tegucigalpa. The incident, in which 361 people were killed, was one of the world's deadliest prison blazes, and highlighted the problem of overcrowding in Latin American jails. Agents from the US Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (ATF) concluded that the fire was accidental, but US Ambassador to Honduras Lisa Kubiske also said official "negligence" and "legal violations" were to blame, due to overcrowding at the facility. In May 2004, another fire at the San Pedro Sula prison left 107 people dead. The country's prison system is considered a looming disaster by observers, with some 13,000 people held in facilities designed to keep only 8,000 people. Honduras's second city, San Pedro Sula is considered one of the most violent in the world by the United Nations. It is the site of numerous armed clashes between rival drug traffickers and their armed units, the ultraviolent "maras" gangs of youths who often bear numerous tattoos. Vietnamese sailors held in Uruguay for arson

Two Vietnamese sailors are being held in police custody in Montevideo, Uruguay for allegedly causing a fire on South Korean fishing boat Jung Woo-1 on March 27. The Jung Woo 3 that caught fire at the Uruguayan port of Montevideo on March 3 Photo: El PaisThe arrest of Ngo Duc Bau, 23, and Tran Van Quyet, 19, was confirmed by the Vietnamese Foreign Ministry yesterday. The fire was small and was put out quickly, causing no casualties or serious damage. At the time of fire, there were 33 Asian sailors, including 9 Vietnamese, on the boat which was leaving the port to sea for fishing. Media in Uruguay reported that the fire broke out in the boat's cabin, where the two sailors were exchanging blows. Vietnam's Foreign Ministry has ordered the Vietnamese Embassy in Argentina, which is also in charge of Uruguayan issues, to collect further information and take necessary measures to protect the legitimate rights and interests of the detainees. In a message issued to the Embassy, Deputy Chief of Montevideo Port Police Marcelo D'Anatro asked for interpreters to assist the police in investigating the case. Nearly a month ago, a fire occurred on another South Korean vessel, Jung Woo-3, in the same port on March 3, killing two Vietnamese sailors and injuring six others. The Jung Woo-1 is one of many Asian ships that often use the Montevideo Port as a place for engine repairs or maintenance. In the past several years, many ships, most of them from South Korea, have suffered from fires in the port. In 2010 the Uruguayan Minister of Defense ordered naval military intelligence to launch an investigation of the fires, but the investigation has yet to reach to a conclusion. Vietnamese schools teach swimming on… paper

Schools in big cities complain that there are not enough swimming pools to teach swimming to students as requested by the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET). Vietnam is one of the countries which have the highest percentages of drowning in the world. Therefore, MOET in 2010 requested primary schools all over the country to teach swimming in a trial period of 2010-2015. Fourth graders would be the main learners, while the third and fifth graders are also welcome to swimming lessons. Children in waterways areas also die of drowning According to the Ministry of Health, drowning is the biggest reason behind the deaths of children and the second biggest reason behind the deaths of adults. Drowning is the cause of the death of 22.6 percent of the dead children, just after the traffic accidents (26.7 percent). On average, 7000 Vietnamese children die every year, 50 percent of whom die of drowning. According to Tran Thi Ngoc Lan, a senior official of the Ministry of Health, the highest percentage of the death of drowning can be seen in the group of children aged 0-4 (19/100,000 children per annum). Nguyen Trong An from the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, said that not only the children in big cities, but in the Mekong River Delta, also die of drowning, mostly because they cannot swim. Learning to swim on… paper The request by MOET in 2010 has not been fulfilled by schools over the last two years. Ngu Duy Anh, Director of the Students' Affairs Department under MOET, also admitted that Vietnam has not gone far in the implementation of the plan on teaching swimming. There are not enough swimming pools to teach swimming to students, especially the ones in big cities. There are also not enough swimming teachers: though there are physical training teachers at every school, but not all of them have been trained to train swimming. Headmaster of a primary school in Cau Giay district in Hanoi frankly said that her school cannot implement the plan on teaching swimming because it does not have necessary conditions. It takes hundreds of millions of dong to build a swimming pool, which is unaffordable to the school which still lacks classrooms and material facilities. Meanwhile, MOET cannot prop up the money for the schools to build swimming pools of their own, because this would require a huge sum of money. Bui Thi Van Anh, Head of the Cau Giay district's education sub-department, said that no school in the district has its own swimming pool. Meanwhile, there is only one public pool for the local residents. Therefore, it proves to be unfeasible to implement the swimming teaching plan. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak Headmasters of general schools all have said the plan on teaching swimming to students has been applauded by parents, who say they would pay additional money, so that the schools can organize swimming lessons. In Hanoi, many schools are planning to bring students to swimming pools to attend swimming lessons. However, they still have not found out any reasonable solution for vehicle, teacher and timetable arrangement. That explains why Hanoi, a big city, still has not released any document guiding the teaching of swimming at primary schools. Anh from MOET said though the ministry requests schools to push up the activities to prevent the drowning, it cannot punish the schools, if they cannot implement the plan, because the ministry well understands the difficulties the schools are facing. Thai billionaire releases second book in Vietnam

Thai billionaire Vikrom Kromadit has unveiled his second book, titled "Nghiet Nga va Thanh Cong" (Be A Better Man), in Vietnamese. Unlike his first book, "Tay Khong Gay Dung Co Do" (Building A Career by Bare Hands), which was earlier released in Vietnam and told of Vikrom's desire to be a rich man, "Be A Better Man" is the story of the billionaire's normal life with many ups and downs. "People can make mistakes, but the point is they must live today better than yesterday," he shared. "Think about good things and then do good things." As many as 300,000 copies have been sold in Thailand since the book debuted in 2004. A Thai TV series adapted from the book is also being purchased to be broadcast in Vietnam. In 2008, Vikrom was voted as one of Thailand's 40 richest people by Forbes magazine. He has published 12 books in Thailand, and they are sold for just USD1 in the hope of sharing his experiences with younger generations Hue Tours Hue Tour Festival Hue Hue Da Nang Da Nang Hoi An Hoi An Hue Du Lich Hue Du Lich Hoi AnDu Lich Da Nang Du Lich Sapa Du Lich Da Lat Du Lich Phu Quoc Du Lich Lao Du Lich Cambodia Du Lich Thai Lan Du Lich Singapore Du Lich Malaysia Du Lich Trung Quoc

Nation backs UN agency at summit

Vietnam wants to promote the central role of the United Nations and the International Atomic Energy Agency to ensure nuclear security and safety in the world, Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung said yesterday. Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung (second row, third from right) poses with other world leaders yesterday at the two-day Nuclear Security Summit in Seoul, South Korea. The PM was speaking at the two-day Nuclear Security Summit in Seoul in South Korea. He said Vietnam's view was to use nuclear energy for peaceful purposes only and ensuring nuclear safety and security. Dung told participants that Vietnam had been building a legal framework and safe and secure infrastructure so that it could apply nuclear power and take part in related international treaties and initiatives. He said Vietnam was actively working with other ASEAN nations to build a peaceful and stable Southeast Asian region free from nuclear weapons. He said non-proliferation of nuclear weapons was an important factor for nuclear security and safety and that every nation had the right to use nuclear energy and technology for peaceful purposes. Any differences should be addressed in terms of the UN charter and international law through peaceful measures. The summit focused on reviewing the progress made since the 2010 Washington Summit, national measures and international co-operation to enhance nuclear security and future commitment, and the interface between nuclear security and safety. At the end of the summit, the leaders of 53 countries adopted a communique covering measures to ensure nuclear security and safety throughout the world. The third Nuclear Security Summit will be held in the Netherlands in 2014. PM meets other leaders Also yesterday, Prime Minister Dung held bilateral meetings with international politicians on the sideline of the second Seoul Nuclear Security Summit. In a meeting with New Zealand counterpart John Key, Dung proposed the early signing of an agreement on avoiding double taxation and a co-operative accord on education and training. The PM also proposed organising the fourth session of the Joint Committee for Economic and Trade Co-operation this year. Key said he hoped the two countries would increase co-operation in international and regional forums, boost visits of defence delegations and co-operate in logistics and the defence industry. He also urged speeding up the implementation of the ASEAN-Australia-New Zealand Free Trade Agreement and trade and investment promotion. In another meeting with Britain's Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg, PM Dung praised Britain's role in promoting nuclear security and safety and its initiatives at the Seoul summit. Dung suggested that both countries exchange information on issues of mutual concern and promote bilateral co-operation in trade, investment and education. He said he hoped Britain would continue to support Vietnam in developing the international Vietnam-UK University to help Vietnamese students study in Britain. Clegg said there was a need for the two countries to increase two-way trade value to US$4 billion by 2013. PM Dung also met his Pakistani counterpart Raza Gillani. The two were delighted at increasing two-way trade that hit $325 million last year. They also discussed signing agreements encouraging investment. Dung said the two countries should enhance ventures in investment, culture, education and training. In a meeting with Danish Prime Minister Helle Thorning Schmidt, PM Dung said he was delighted at the success both sides had enjoyed in celebrating 40 years of diplomatic relations in 2011. In addition to decades of successful relations, Vietnam and Denmark recently established strategic partnerships in the areas of climate change adaptation, environmental protection, green growth and energy. Schmidt asked Viet Nam to offer preferential policies for Danish investors to maintain long-term businesses in the country, especially in areas such as food processing, renewable energy, green and environmentally-friendly technology, among others. Meeting with European Council President Herman Van Rompuy and President of the EU Commission Jose Manuel Barroso, Dung asked the EU to make further efforts to allow negotiations for the Free Trade Agreement to begin and to soon recognise Viet Nam as a market economy. Later, Dung met with Finnish President Sauli Niinisto. The Vietnamese leader said he hoped that Finland would continue to assist Vietnam in the areas of poverty reduction, climate change adaptation and forestry. In a discussion with Australian Prime Minister Julia Gillard, both leaders agreed to work closely to celebrate 40 years of diplomatic relations in 2013. Though bilateral trade topped $5 billion in 2011, Dung said both countries had the potential to reach higher targets. Gillard said she hoped the two countries would further co-operate in economics, commerce, investment, high technology, education, security and national defence and other activities at regional and international forums. Visiting the land of the giant turtles

Turtles weighing up to 20 kg are common in northern Son La Province thanks to domestication over the last twenty years that has created animals of a size that cannot be found in the wild. A 20-kg turtle Dang Huu Duyen, chairman of the Soft shell Turtle Farmer Association, owns the biggest soft shell turtle (ba ba gai) in Vietnam, weighing 45 kg. The reptile species is kept domestically to lay eggs in ponds and farms. "The wattle-neck soft shell turtles are easier to keep and bring up than other kinds of soft shell turtles. They can eat various kinds of food and can adapt better to the living environment," said Duyen. After watching people hunt this species for over 20 years, especially during the breeding season, Duyen began to fear that the soft shell turtles may become extinct. In an effort to prevent this from happening, he started to move some sand from the Ma River to his garden and make nests for hatching eggs collected from the river. After a trial run in which 60 percent of the turtle eggs he collected hatched well, Duyen planned to build pools to keep soft shell turtles in. Now, he owns thousands of soft shell turtles and keeps them in a pond of almost 2,000 square meters. A 'ba ba gai' has gnarled skin on the head and legs showing its old age, and a row of barbs in front of the shell, which is a distinctive feature of wattle-neck soft shell turtles in the Ma River. The biggest turtle kept in his pond weighs over 45kg, and its shell measures 85 centimeters long and 50 centimeters wide. It was caught in the Ma River 20 years ago when it was 7-8kg. Each big turtle can offer its owner a profit of approximately VND80 million (USD3,800) a year thanks to its eggs and baby turtles. Making a fortune People in Song Ma District have escaped poverty thanks to breeding the giant species of turtle. Pointing to a 200 square meter pond with brick walls around it, Duyen said that he can make as much as VND500 million ($24,000) annually from the pond for the foreseeable future. Do Dai Thang, chairman of the ward's farmer association and also a turtle breeder, revealed that a kilogram of breeder turtle costs VND2 million ($96), and a newly hatched turtle sells at VND300,000. Last year merchants from cities and even from China actually came to buy them at VND800,000 each. Thanks to the favorable climate and good biological genes of soft shell turtles in the Ma River, people come to this mountainous area to buy baby soft shell turtles as breeders. Thang has built a good house with nice furniture thanks to the profits made from the giant turtles he keeps in his 150 square meter pond. According to Nguyen Thi Hoa, vice head of the Song Ma District Office of Agriculture, 300 families in Song Ma are raising wattle-neck soft shell turtles, including 10 large-scale farms who make yearly profits of approximately VND2 billion to VND5 billion. Soft shell turtle farms covering hundreds of thousands of square meters are currently being built by the side of the peaceful Ma River. It seems that this already-profitable trade will boom in the future. Vietnam diplomats begin important discussions

Diplomats are gathering in Hanoi for the 27th diplomatic conference to discuss ways to assist the country's development. Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong and delegates attend the conference Speaking on the opening day of the conference on Dec. 12, Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong affirmed the important role of the diplomatic sector and highlighted its past achievements, particularly in expanding relations, including with powerful countries. The sector has taken advantage of the international environment to serve national development, maintained independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity and gradually negotiated solutions to many land and sea border issues with neighbouring countries, Trong said. The Party leader also said the country's international position has been improved thanks to active, responsible and constructive contributions, to the trend of peace and cooperation in the world. General Secretary Trong asked the conference to consider both the achievements and disappointments of diplomatic affairs, analyse shortcomings and weaknesses and provide solutions for the diplomatic sector to work more effectively. He said the sector should boost research and provide a comprehensive and in-depth strategy, realise international integration policies and submit strategies to develop the country's role as an active member of regional and global institutions. He also asked the diplomatic sector to carry out comprehensive diplomacy, closely coordinate with national defence and security sectors, directly contribute to implementing national socio-economic development tasks, actively implement the Party Political Bureau's resolution on Overseas Vietnamese affairs, protect Vietnamese nationals and pay attention to foreign news service. Also at the opening ceremony, Minister of Foreign Affairs Pham Binh Minh said the week-long conference will appraise national, regional and world affairs to work out ways to implement foreign policies from the 11th Party Congress. How to Tie a Half-Windsor Knot (Way 1)

The half-Windsor knot is a symmetric tie knot that is slightly larger than the Pratt knot and smaller than the Windsor knot. It is suitable for most collars and occasions. The name "half-Windsor knot" has been used to refer to two slightly different ways to tie a tie by different books and web sites. Tying the two tie knots involves the same number of steps and the finished tie knots look very similar. Both ways to tie the half-Windsor knot are provided on this web site for completeness. However, to save time, you can just learn one of them. Way 1 will be described below. For way 2, please refer to the article "How to Tie a Half-Windsor Knot (Way 2)". yen sao hitech review hue tourism vietnam how to weight loss cute girl dac san xu hue how to solve rubik how to tie a tie giấy dán tường ky nang ban hang tieu luan triet de thi dai hoc luan van ngan hang kinh doanh quoc te luan van thac sy luận văn thạc sỹ

International-ranking little actress

At the age of 12, Phung Hoa Hoai Linh won the Best Actress award at the International Dubai Film Festival, for her leading role in "Mother's Soul" by well-known director Nhue Giang. Phung Hoa Hoai Linh in "Mother's Soul" Linh who has big, black eyes and plump and intelligent face, had her first role at the age of four. This was the second leading role in "Mother's Heart" by famous director Nguyen Huu Phan. Since then, Linh has played in many television and big-screen films, including "Exams", "ANZ Disentangling Service", "Story in Hoang Son", "King Ly Cong Uan – the Road to Thang Long", "Blood Letter", etc. The little girl has tried her best to both study very well at school and play in various films. "I watched a short movie in which Linh played a rural girl who goes to a hospital in the city for an abortion with her father. This role requires acting skill because the character almost does not talk. I highly appreciate Linh's acting. She got right inside her character," comments Vuong Thuy, a trainee of a movie project funded by the Ford Foundation. Being attracted by new experience in different characters, Linh did not refuse any role, even characters that she did not like, including Thu in "Mother's Soul." Linh said that when she read the screenplay, she did not like Thu and did not understand this role but she still wanted to try. Surprisingly, this role brought the Best Actress award at the Dubai International Film Festival last December to the little girl. Before the festival, the movie was screened at ten universities in the US and Thu was highly praised for her acting skill. "I gave this role to Linh after casting several girls because she was quite suitable to this role. She is at the same age, the same figure with Thu. Linh did not act 100 percent perfectly as I desired but this is a difficult role. Thu is a character with different states of feeling. Linh is only 12 and her acting is too good for a little girl. I'm rather satisfied with her," said director Nhue Giang. Linh had to try hard to get this success because at the age of 12, she had to play a mother. "I've never played mother-child games, so I did not know how to show my love to my 'son' in the film. I had to learn from my mother. I tried to remember how my mother treated me to act in the movie," Linh said. Linh is a town girl but in "Mother's Soul," she became a poor girl who lives amid the Red River, who could work like an adult. Linh's effort was highly praised by director Nhue Giang. "She loves acting and tried a lot. She had a firm will, not a 12-year-old girl. She is talented and she is a promising actress in the future," the director commented. Interesting performances at Got Talent’s fourth semi-final show

Manchester City will look to return to the top of the Premier League and pile the pressure on title rivals Manchester United when they travel to Stoke on Saturday. Manchester City's Samir Nasri (2nd R) celebrates with teammates after scoring their second goal of the English Premier League match between Manchester City and Chelsea at The Etihad stadium in Manchester,Victory at the Britannia Stadium would put City two points in front of current leaders and reigning champions United, who are not in action again until they host Fulham at Old Trafford on Monday. However, for many fans attention will turn to the Reebok Stadium. Normally, a match between the relegation threatened Lancashire duo of Bolton Wanderers and Blackburn Rovers would only be of local interest. But this will be Bolton's first match since Fabrice Muamba collapsed with a cardiac arrest during last week's subsequently abandoned FA Cup quarter-final at Tottenham. Bolton postponed Tuesday's scheduled league match against Aston Villa but, with medical bulletins on 23-year-old midfielder Muamba increasingly encouraging, they have decided to go ahead with Saturday's fixture. Legendary Liverpool manager Bill Shankly was quoted as saying "football is not a matter of life or death, it's more important than that". But Bolton boss Owen Coyle, unsurprisingly, disagrees. "Football is not more important than what has happened," said Coyle. "Nobody is more passionate about football than me. Is the game important? Yes in the context of the Premier League, and we will do our best. "But football is not the be all and end all. What happened to Fabrice on Saturday puts everything in perspective and our first thoughts will be with him," Coyle added. Manchester City's 2-1 win over Chelsea at Eastlands on Wednesday witnessed the return of controversial striker Carlos Tevez after three months of self-imposed exile in his native Argentina following a falling-out with manager Roberto Mancini. There are many -- including former City favourite Rodney Marsh -- who fear Tevez's return for the final nine league games of the season could destabilise the club's bid for a first English title since 1968. But, with Tevez coming off the bench to lay on the winner for Samir Nasri against Chelsea, it appears the forward is well and truly back in the fold. "I don't know if it was a champions' performance but we gave a very good performance in a difficult game," said Mancini after the Chelsea match. "We have a very difficult game on Saturday against Stoke and this game was important for the three points." Arsenal, back in third and on course for a Champions League place, will look to continue their recent resurgence at home to Aston Villa with Gunners boss Arsene Wenger, whose judgment was being called into question earlier in what was a faltering season, warning his team not to let-up now. "We want to keep going and we must not think now that the most difficult thing is done," Wenger said. "Probably the most difficult thing still remains to do, and to achieve it it is important we keep humility, focus and fight for each other," the Frenchman added. Tottenham were looking as if they would end the season as London's top club, but their recent dip in form has come at just the wrong time for Harry Redknapp's side, with the manager insisting speculation linking him with the England job is not behind their slump. They face Chelsea on Saturday with both clubs now battling for a top four finish and the Champions League place that goes with it. Chelsea were given a lift when inspirational captain John Tery returned to training on Thursday after missing their last two matches with calf cramps. Meanwhile fellow Blues defender Gary Cahill said of Tottenham: "You'll always have a blip in the season and maybe theirs has come now. "We're at home, where we have some confidence now, and we are looking to get the positive result we need." Liverpool have won the League Cup and are in the semi-finals of the FA Cup but their league form remains frustrating, as demonstrated by a midweek 3-2 loss away to strugglers QPR in a match where they were 2-0 up. Kenny Dalglish's men will look to restore order against relegation candidates Wigan at Anfield while QPR, now out of the bottom three, travel to Sunderland. Basement club Wolves are away to Norwich while stylish Swansea, the surprise package of the season so far, will look to follow-up a 3-0 win over Fulham at home to Everton. Sunday sees West Brom host Newcastle. Fixtures (1500GMT unless stated) Saturday: Arsenal v Aston Villa, Bolton v Blackburn, Chelsea v Tottenham (1245GMT), Liverpool v Wigan, Norwich v Wolves, Stoke v Man City (1730GMT), Sunderland v QPR, Swansea v Everton Sunday: West Brom v Newcastle (1600GMT) Monday: Man Utd v Fulham (2000GMT) Hue Tours | Hue Tour | Festival Hue | Hue Da Nang | Da Nang Hoi An | Hoi An Hue | Du Lich Hue | Du Lich Hoi An | Du Lich Da Nang | Du Lich Sapa | Du Lich Da Lat | Du Lich Phu Quoc | Du Lich Lao | Du Lich Cambodia | Du Lich Thai Lan | Du Lich Singapore | Du Lich Malaysia | Du Lich Trung Quoc

James Cameron reaches deepest spot on Earth

Hollywood icon James Cameron has made it to Earth's deepest point. This February 2012 photo, provided by National Geographic, shows explorer and filmmaker James Cameron emerging from the hatch of DEEPSEA CHALLENGER during testing of the submersible in Jervis Bay, south of Sydney, Australia. The director of "Titanic," ''Avatar" and other films used a specially designed submarine to dive nearly seven miles, completing his journey a little before 8 a.m. Monday local time, according to Stephanie Montgomery of the National Geographic Society. He plans to spend about six hours exploring and filming the Mariana Trench, about 200 miles southwest of the Pacific island of Guam. "All systems OK," were Cameron's first words upon reaching the bottom, according to a statement. His arrival at a depth of 35,756 feet came early Sunday evening on the U.S. East Coast, after a descent that took more than two hours. The scale of the trench is hard to grasp — it's 120 times larger than the Grand Canyon and more than a mile deeper than Mount Everest is tall. Cameron made the dive aboard his 12-ton, lime-green sub called "Deepsea Challenger." He planned to collect samples for biologists and geologists to study. "It's really the first time that human eyes have had an opportunity to gaze upon what is a very alien landscape," said Terry Garcia, the National Geographic Society's executive VP for mission programs, via phone from Pitlochry, Scotland. The first and only time anyone dove to these depths was in 1960. Swiss engineer Jacques Piccard and U.S. Navy Capt. Don Walsh took nearly five hours to reach the bottom and stayed just 20 minutes. They had little to report on what they saw, however, because their submarine kicked up so much sand from the ocean floor. "He is going to be seeing something that none of us have ever seen before. He is going to be opening new worlds to scientists," Garcia said. One of the risks of a dive so deep is extreme water pressure. At 6.8 miles below the surface, the pressure is the equivalent of three SUVs sitting on your toe. Cameron told The Associated Press in an interview after a 5.1 mile-deep practice run near Papua New Guinea earlier this month that the pressure "is in the back of your mind." The submarine would implode in an instant if it leaked, he said. But while he was a little apprehensive beforehand, he wasn't scared or nervous while underwater. "When you are actually on the dive you have to trust the engineering was done right," he said. The film director has been an oceanography enthusiast since childhood and has made 72 deep-sea submersible dives. Thirty-three of those dives have been to the wreckage of the Titanic, the subject of his 1997 hit film. ASEAN Cyber University project launched in Vietnam

Officials from South Korea and Asian nations, including Vietnam, recently met in Hanoi to launch the ASEAN Cyber University project. E-learning centres will be set up in Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar and Vietnam in May 2012The gathering, held on March 22, drew the participation of members of the project's steering committee. Participants included officials from the Vietnamese Ministry of Education and Training, officials from Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, and South Korea, as well representatives of the academies and universities under the ASEAN educational network. ASEAN Cyber University project was first proposed at the ASEAN – South Korea Summit in 2009. The project is expected to help establish a foundation for sharing experiences, knowledge, and skills in higher education and long-distance education among ASEAN countries and South Korea. Having been piloted in South Korean since 2010, the project will help set up e-learning centres in Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar and Vietnam in May 2012. A main operating centre or hub-centre will be built at the University of Science and Technology of Hanoi in order to regulate other centres in the three other participating countries. South Korea will act as the project's co-ordinator and gradually transfer its advanced technology on long-distance education and developmental strategies to ASEAN member countries. Quach Tuan Ngoc, Director of the Ministry of Education and Training's Department of Technology and Information said, "As the project is in its first stage, a lot of matters are still under discussion, such as educational programme, credit exchange, regulations, mode of enrolment, and tuition fees. However, we can be sure that e-learning will help students save time and money because they can study at home and get a good education, instead of having to rush to big cities". Hue among Vietnam’s largest tourist draw

Tourism surveys showed the central city of Hue welcomed a higher number of foreign visitors during the final months of the year than the same period of 2009. The survey information was gathered from tourism sites and statistics by local agencies and travel agents. By the end of November, Hue City, in Thua Thien-Hue Province, had welcomed nearly 1.4 million travelers, up 11.7% from a year earlier, according to Nguyen Phuong Mai from the municipal Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism. She added that international arrivals were up 7.9% on the year with the majority from Thailand and France during the period. The Ancient Capital Relics Conservation Center of Hue said as of Nov 30, international arrivals to the relics increased by 8.74% on the year while domestic arrivals were up 0.68% on year. The ancient relics raked in a combined tourism and service revenues of VND78.6 billion (US$4.03 million) during the period. Surveys at high-end hotels such as four-star Mercure Gerbera, Century Riverside and Huong Giang showed that foreign tourists have accounted for over half of their total arrivals in recent days. Owners of souvenir shops around the Hue relics also admitted that the number of international arrivals in the ancient capital is on the rise these days. John Smith, from the U.S., who is on holiday in Hue city with his wife and son, said he was very interested in discovering such an ancient capital. "All my family is very happy when visiting such sights despite of bit of weariness in our legs.
