National flag carrier Vietnam Airlines is now offering huge promotional discounts for the summer season, of upto 50 per cent on both domestic and international routes. However, the discount fares will not be available during peak rush periods, including during the time of the death anniversary of the Hung King, from April 30 to May 1. The airline is offering a one-way fare for only VND770,000 from Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City to Da Nang or Hue. In all, 100,000 promotional discounts fares will be available during the summer season on domestic routes and 80,000 seats on international routes. On international routes, passengers flying to 26 destinations in Asia, Europe and Australia can avail of a special two-way discount ticket, ranging from VND1,025,000 (USD49) to VND10,410,000 (USD499).
